Arte Pa’ Mi Gente / Arts for All Festival is an initiative of Society of the Educational Arts/Teatro SEA, The Nation’s Premiere Latino Theater for Young Audiences and Bilingual Arts-in-Education organization, dedicated to the empowerment and educational advancement of children and young adults, in collaboration with the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural & Educational Center (The Clemente). This year is the third edition of our FREE Outdoor Theater Series at La Plaza @ The Clemente (114 Norfolk Street NYC 10002).
#ArtePaMiGente/ #ArtsforAll Festival will feature 3 completely FREE performances for the community on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on June 9th, 10th and 11th. Each evening, audiences will be able to enjoy Cultural Artisan Vendors, Food Vendors and Pre-Show Musical Acts.
At 8pm, Teatro SEA will present its award-winning, musical revue, Rafael Hernández… Romance, about the life, career and music of one of the greatest Latin American composers of all time. Featuring: Jeannie Sol, Ana Jerry Stephens, Diana Sophia, Angel Feliciano, Ivan Alexander Bautista,Edwin Vazquez and Manuel Moran. Jonathan Gomez will direct the 9 piece orchestra. We will have a Special Guest from San Juan, his son, Alejandro “Chalí” Hernández, Director of the Sala Museo Rafael Hernández who will be interpreting some of his father’s songs!
