plusFARM is excited to present a new installation that continues our explorations into the relationship between the body and construction, both as a process and a result.
In Mollusk/Machine, the soft body of the mollusk disgorges the hard matrix of the machine. How these spaces were made and how they interact will be explored through events, projections, and manipulations. Mollusk/Machine continues our explorations into the relationship between the body and construction, both as a process and a result.
We are interested in how scripted tools open the possibilities for a design that follows both digital and material rules. These tools and rules push the spaces into a dialogue with the body that must be negotiated by the users.
plusFARM is an experimental design studio based in Brooklyn with projects done in the US, Europe, and Asia. Our work focuses on collaboration and the building process. plusFARM works at the intersection of digital and material design. Interfacing the virtual and the actual our projects function as a bridge between the mind and body.
