Society of the Educational Arts, Inc. / Sociedad Educativa de las Artes Inc. (SEA)
Society of the Educational Arts/Sociedad Educativa de las Artes, Inc. (SEA)’s mission is to use arts and cultural programming as the specific means and basis of interaction to meet our meta-goal, the empowerment and educational advancement of youth, and our bedrock purpose of Latino/Hispanic community advancement. Founded in 1985 in Puerto Rico, open in New York since 1993 and Florida since 2010, SEA, a Latino/Hispanic Bilingual Arts-in-Education not-for-profit, is committed to the progress of our community and its culture. SEA does this yearly through more than 250 bilingual performances, reaching audiences in excess of 75,000.
SEA is currently focusing on the International Puppet Fringe Festival NYC 2018, held at The Clemente this August. It is inspired by the idea of being able to showcase the artistry of emerging and established puppeteers in the Clemente, the birthplace of Fringe Theatre in New York City, as well as the opportunity of bringing international culture to our community.
