Circulo de Voces by XENIA Rubinos

  • The Clemente Center 107 Suffolk Street New York, NY, 10002 United States (map)

This Sunday the 3rd of December at 3pm Xenia Rubinos is going to be performing on the 3rd Floor at The Clemente in Room 309. Come use your voice together with her in an intimate setting and you’ll find what sounds they want to make. It’s a space to sing as a group, explore the sounds of our voices, sacar la voz en grupo and hear what’s there. There is space for 9 voices, RSVP at the link here. [UPDATE: RSVPS is now CLOSED]

Xenia Rubinos’ has been dreaming of a circle of voices for many months now and waiting to know more about what it means and since she still doesn’t know she figured she’d just do it and find out. Rubinos says “I think activating our voices as a collective can be healing, transformative and liberating. This summer Natalia Lassalle Murillo invited me to activate her diasporic choir. I thought it must’ve meant something that just as I was drawing circles in my notebook and “circulo de voces” came to mind again and again she reached out. I went and worked with a group of singers and non-singers alike, I helped lead us in using our voices together. It was magic. [I thought] I want to do it again!”

Now she’s doing it at The Clemente. She has room for 9 voices in the space. We look forward to welcome you to our space.
