Steve Ellis, longtime Clemente resident artist, has "Bluebeard (LES Time Traveler)" on view in our LES Gallery, in conjunction with our Three Kings Day and Groundbreaking Celebration! This is the first time this monumental painting has been exhibited in NYC.

The time traveling landscape painting focuses on the LES triangle created by the East River, Houston St and Bowery St. There is a poem created by the signage, a sun and moon arc span the horizon and an infinity loop of pigeons fly throughout.

The poem reads: "Forward sunshine over delicate tenements. Eye candy, freak beauty, do New York City fab. Meow, knish, saucer, fish. Flow baby flow. Paint A-Z, all best, hot, hot, hot troll. Clemente, Mercury, OMFUG. Home of the great New York scumbag and superstar squatters."
