Elisa Gutiérrez Eriksen is a New York-based Mexican curator and arts producer specializing in contemporary art. In her research, Elisa focuses on interdisciplinary approaches that weave ecology, territory, and identity. Elisa holds an MA in Art History and an Advanced Certificate in Curatorial Studies from Hunter College. Elisa has served as Programs Manager and Curator at the New York Art Residency and Studios (NARS) Foundation, as Cultural Specialist for the UNESCO Field Office in Mexico, and as Head of Exhibitions for the nationwide Alas y Raices program at the Mexican Ministry of Culture, among other roles. As an independent curator, Elisa has curated exhibitions and public programming at venues such as the Museo Universitario de Ciencias y Arte (MUCA), BioBAT Art Space, Lydian Stater, Home Gallery, op.cit., Salón Silicon, and 601 Artspace. Elisa is also a member of Tiger Strikes Asteroid New York and currently,and serves as Network Co-Director. She is also the founder of Common Frequencies,a multidisciplinary platform gathering artistic practices that intersect sonic, environmental, and interspecies relations.
