Resident information

Move In: Welcome to The Clemente!

  1. Read the Resident Handbook (by reading you acknowledge to comply with the regulations listed in the handbook)

  2. Sign your license agreement - this will be sent to you digitally through DocuSign.

  3. Complete your emergency contact form:

    Resident Artist Emergency Contact Form (with proof of residency)

    Partnership/Micro Residency Emergency Contact Form (without proof of residency)

  4. Submit your key deposit via Quickbooks:

    $75 for front door key
    $50 for studio key

  5. Submit your first month, first month of utilities, and one month rent deposit (excludes partnership and micro residency artists) via Quickbooks.

  6. You will be added to our Resident Artist Google Group.

  7. You will be added to the sign in / sign out form at the front desk. Please make sure to both sign in and sign out using the iPad everyday. If you have guests arriving - they must also sign in as a visitor at the front desk.

  8. You will be added to the website. Please email the following information to natalia@theclementecenter.org:

    • Full name (As you would like it to appear)

    • Biography (Max. 200 words)

    • Statement (Max. 400 words)

    • Website link (optional)

    • (3) Artwork Images (within the last 5 years)

      • Title, Date, Medium, Dimensions

      • Choose 1 artwork image to be featured on residents homepage

    • Studio number

  9. In order to schedule a move in (with movers or without) please send an email to: natalia@theclementecenter.org a week in advance. We need to know when you are planning to move in.

  10. Request a share or sublet (up to 4 months) for resident artists (excludes partnership and micro residency artists).

  11. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date.

Move Out: And Stay in Touch!

  1. As the end date of your residency approaches, please email natalia@theclementecenter.org to schedule your move out date at least a week in advance. We need to alert building management whenever a move out occurs.

  2. Return Keys! This is very important in order to receive your key deposit back.

  3. Once your keys are returned and your studio is assessed to have no undue damage, your one month deposit will also be initiated.

  4. You may remain on the Google Group, if you’d like to stay in touch with the building - but you can also unsubscribe at any time.

  5. For resident artists, your artist profile on the website will be moved over to our alumni page
